How to find the way to my hospital appointment. Often patient information to the specific department includes a map but when I get there how do I know where I am going in a busy noisy environment or where it's quiet and there is no-one around.
We asked for ideas on how this would be possible using digital technology ( phone ) that most people have access to. Using existing online information already provided by a local NHS hospital and Therapies department we brought this information together in one page, and included a video walkthrough showing the way. Accessible apps already exist that show available access to e.g. wheelchair users, so there is potential to link with this service too. This video can now be made bespoke for out departments and updated if our location changes, it can be rolled out to other services. We can also include this in our onboarding induction material for new staff.
